About Jamie Ann Goldberg

I knew I was destined to make shower caps. Not because of the pussy willow coat I designed for my Barbie doll out of one of my dad’s cashmere tube socks, a bottle of Elmer’s, and a handful of pussy willows. I knew it when I had one of those “oh my gosh” moments: I was getting ready to take a shower when I turned and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. I was wearing an unattractive flesh-toned shower cap. You know the ones that never actually fit your head so your hair is always wet after the shower. I stood in the shower and asked myself, “Why hasn’t somebody made a shower cap that works?” A moment later I realized that, “I could make a shower cap that works!” One year later I’m an aqua milliner.
I spent 24 years in the fashion/retail/wholesale business working for high fashion companies like I. Magnins and Neiman Marcus. After ending my career with Gucci America, I now live with my 9 year old son in Seattle. When I’m not dreaming up new shower cap ideas: I’m volunteering at my son's school, attending little league games, and hanging out at the park while my son runs around with all of his little friends. When I have time for myself I love to walk in my neighborhood to stay fit. I enjoy a game of tennis and love to play golf at the public course by my house. But I do have to say. . . I really love to shop.
That’s
how the story goes. . .
